Working on our mobility and flexibility is so good for our body (and mind!). Daily or weekly stretching will help you perform better during your workouts and helps you recover from them better and faster. 

So that is why I’d love to tell you about my favorite Pilates, Flexibility, Mobility and Yoga workouts. These are the best follow along videos you can find on YouTube (or anywhere).

Full body Pilates by Move with Nicole

This is a pretty tough workout, that requires some previous (bodyweight) strength training. A lot of my personal favorite exercises are part of this video! Think of full roll ups, hip bridge variations, side plank variations and pilates push-ups.

I love the workouts that are created by Nicole, because she ads so many cues and tips to her workouts. So always keep listening, so you know you are doing it right. This workout will help you feel stronger, more energized and very accomplished once you are done.

Yoga and mobility session for your lower body by Shona Vertue

I have never moved my but in so many directions in a downward dog, I can tell you. But that is really where the fun is, in this workout.

After you are done with this video (that has a combination of Yoga, Pilates, Mobility, Flexibilty and Balance) you will feel so accomplished, you have no idea! This is the type of video that you’ll want to be repeating weekly for a few months, to really get better and more flexible. And it will get more fun each time.

The ultimate Pilates workout by Lottie Murphy

Lottie Murphy calls this the “Ultimate Pilates workout” for a reason. I’ts got everyting. From the basic exercises to more hard-core moves. I love it. Focussing on the abs, glutes, back and waist with some pretty tough moves, will help you lengthen and strengthen from head to toe. Thankfully Lottie talks you through all of the poses and postures very carefully.

Recovery Yoga for Athletes by Alo Yoga

Ever since finding this video, I have been recommending it to everyone I know that loves to workout.

This 40 minute flow is a great way to stretch all the muscles that you’ve been hitting hard during your workouts. It’s a great recovery routine that will help your body and mind release, balance and restore.

30 minutes stretching with MadFit

With this 30 minute stretch routine you can follow along with MadFit doing exercises like shoulder rolls, neck rolls, hamstring stretches, hip stretches, stretches for your back and some yoga-inspired positions like childsposes and lunges. I do this stretch routine a few times a week. 

The hips and hamstrings are the main focus of this workout: areas that most people feel pretty tight. And we really don’t stretch that often. I can’t recommend this workout enough. It can feel life changing once you add routines like these in to your daily + weekly schedule, as I did!

45 minutes deep stretch with Yoga with Adriene

This 45 minute session is all about trying to go deeper. Adriene herself calls it a deep stretch practice for the legs, back, and hips (yay!). This is one of those that you really want to be doing over and over again. You’ll find it getting easier every time you come back to it. Which means you are becoming more flexible! And you are enjoying some great downtime with (one of) the best Yoga instructors on YouTube! “lean in, breathe deep, stretch it out, and connect to something big.”
